The Challenge
Create a high-caliber, printed corporate brochure that tells the story of Baxa, a medical device company that provides technologies for medication handling and delivery. The brochure needed to showcase what makes Baxa great and reflect the company’s unique culture, while convincing investors, potential business partners, and original equipment manufacturers that Baxa is a company worth investing in, working with, and purchasing from.
The Solution
Tell the Baxa story through the eyes of its employees – an approach that showcases the company’s unique personality. Because Baxa focuses on medical products critical to helping doctors save lives, yet not often spotlighted, Burns Marketing Communications gave Baxa a strong voice and an even stronger position with the opening sentence – “At Baxa, we don’t overlook the overlooked.” This narrative tone, friendly copy, and vivid imagery painted the Baxa story in a one-of-a-kind brochure.
The Results
Within 24 hours of receipt of the finished brochure, it was used at an investor conference. All distributed copies were retained and a great deal of interest was generated for future investment and follow up. Additionally, the brochure received a silver award at the 2009 Gold Key Awards by the Colorado Business Marketing Association and honors at the 2010 Art Director’s Club of Denver Award Show.
