As EA Sports releases Madden 09 today, one has to wonder if the curse is getting stronger with each passing year. In years past, the curse has only affected the cover boy, albeit physically. Only this year, what should have been a safe release has turned into a PR mess, not just for the cover boy, but for many others.

Everyone see the unbelievable swim by the USA men's 4x100 relay team last night? Wow. ESPN.com calls it "Screaming Finish – one of the best comebacks ever." CNN declares, "Phelps wins second gold in relay thriller."

Missed it? Oh, so sorry. NBC isn't releasing the footage for other networks, and as of this moment, the official NBC Olympics site has no mention of the spectacular performance.

Pssst. NBC. There's a goldmine of possibilities here. How come you're not letting us have what we want?
