Pet pharmaceutical manufacturer PRN Pharmacal, makers of PROIN, had an effective product that helped dogs afflicted with canine incontinence – but they lacked market awareness. Naturally, we were happy to brainstorm this one.

The PROIN multimedia campaign, which included outdoor advertising, print, digital, and video, used humor and some creative wordsmithing to increase awareness of a physiological issue mistakenly attributed to behavior. Some best friends likely escaped the shelter because of it.

Results

The campaign was introduced in two test markets: Minneapolis, Minn.; and St. Louis, Mo. During the three-month trial period, the two test markets outperformed all other markets in the U.S. nearly 2 to 1. The campaign has since been rolled out to additional markets.
